Jay Alexander obtained master’s degrees from Harvard University and the University of Massachusetts in Far Eastern languages, religion, and art. He has worked in the Neuroscience and Behavior Department at UMass and also runs a graphics company. He has devoted himself to expression with the simple media of ink, watercolor, and rice paper, reinterpreting some of the classical themes of Chinese art.
